Home Removals FAQ

We have put together a number of answers to the common questions from previous clients; this will hopefully answer any questions you may have about the home removal process. If you have any additional questions, please do contact us as we are here to help. 

The short answer is no, there is no VAT to pay on your booking, so the quoted price is the price you pay. 

Please be suitably packed, ready for the day of the removal. Soft items such as clothing, bedding and cushions are fine to be bagged up, breakable items should be boxed and protected. 

 

As we use large removal vans, it would be helpful to arrange parking with neighbours, to allow us direct access to your property, this saves time and therefore costs.

As a general rule, if large items arrived flat packed (such as wardrobes and bedframes), they will probably need to leave flat packed. Sofa feet tend to require removal to fit through doorways and table legs need to be removed where possible to save load space and time. 

 

Ideally, this would be done prior to your removal to save time and costs. If you cannot do this yourself, please let us know prior to your removal as we can do this for you. 

The short answer is no, we simply do not have the capacity to offer this service. Whilst this may disappoint some of our clients, from our experience, one of the best times to de-clutter is when you personally pack for your house move. We can also dispose of any unwanted items you may have. 

Whilst this problem is rare, it does occur; to avoid any disappointment, please remember to measure your large items to ensure fit. We will make every effort to help with such an item and can offer storage or disposal as a last resort. 

Yes, we have an indoor storage facility based in Blaydon available for your items. We also have a fork lift truck available for pallets and heavy items. 

Yes, we hold an upper tier waste carrier licence with the Environment Agency. We also offer full and partial house clearances.
